The Roadrunners (2-1) looked sharp early and then finished with an 82-33 win over host Salem CC (0-1) on Tuesday evening in Carney's Point, NJ. GCC started the game on a 7-0 run and led 11-3 when Salem used their first timeout. Freshman guard Devan Solari made two nice early assists that helped spread the floor. Before long the lead had opened to 33-14. During that run Nichole Terreri scored on two fast break layups and also converted two putbacks in the paint. Terreri would finish with 12 first half points and 18 in the game. Soph guard Tasia Farmer also had 3 assists in the first half.

Freshman guard Alex Koutras (Washington Twp., NJ/Washington Township HS) continued to play well and distributed the ball but also was the game-high scorer with 24 points.

The women will be on the road this week as they travel to Philadelphia CC on Thursday before returning home for a 1pm game with Passaic CC on Saturday.

Notes: The Roadrunners were without Head Coach Tom McCormack who was ill but hopes to return to the bench on Thursday evening; Assistant Coach Trish Green filled in for McCormack on Tuesday; In the second game of the doubleheader the men's team lost 96-90 to the Oaks from Salem CC.
