Women's Tennis Regular Season Finale at Harford CC

The Roadrunners took to the road on Wednesday for their regular season finale with the Hawks from Harford CC. There was a lot of tennis played on this beautiful fall day since the teams had to complete a match that was started at GCC on September 9 and then play thier scheduled dual match. Both teams were using the day to prepare for their regional tournaments which will be played this weekend.

In the first match, the Roadrunners led 2-1 based on doubles matches that were completed at GCC on March 9th. Play that day was suspended after the doubles matches due to rain. The singles matches were then finished today at Harford CC. GCC came out swinging and Kristin Abdallah (1st singles), Christina Bell (2nd singles) and Sara Wilkins (4th singles) each won their matches to secure a 5-4 win.

The Roadrunners fell behind after the doubles in the second match of the day. Freshman Christina Bell and Courtney Addis teamed for a win at second doubles but Harford won at first and third doubles. Soph Sara Wilkins won her singles match at #3 but Harford won all five of the remaining singles matches for 7-2 win.
