Career Cluster Resources
The States’ Career Cluster Initiative website provides valuable tools and resources for career guidance and advisement personnel, teachers and faculty, students and parents. For example, the website provides:
- Health Science Knowledge and Skill Charts: provides the knowledge and skills required for all career occupations within the broad industry area (i.e., career cluster).
- Knowledge and Skill Charts for the Therapeutic Services Career Pathway: provides the knowledge and skills required for all therapeutic services health care occupations.

Knowledge and Skill Charts for the Diagnostic Services Career Pathway: provides the knowledge and skills required for all diagnostic services health care occupations.

Knowledge and Skill Charts for the Health Informatics Career Pathway: provides the knowledge and skills required for all health informatics occupations.

The States’ Career Cluster Initiative also provides a useful tool for teachers, faculty, students and parents to help them identify the occupations that are organized under the career pathways of the Health Science Career Cluster, and to explore different career options available to students. This valuable tool called the “Health Science Model” can be accessed at the following website: http://www.careerclusters.org/
Additionally, a Health Science credential list relating to three broad areas: Education and Industry Licenses, Education and Industry Certificates, and Postsecondary Degree Options are available on the website. The credential list was developed by the National Career Technical Education Foundation (NCTEF). This information can be accessed at:
