Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP Codes): A link is provided to the National Center for Educational Statistics which provides educators with names of programs, their corresponding CIP Codes, and descriptions of the knowledge and skills students will learn in the program. Secondary and postsecondary institutions classify programs and programs of study using this taxonomic scheme, and these CIP Codes.
