The four-year Academy for Allied Health Sciences provides Union County students with a comprehensive health care career exploration program of study supporting a variety of career options in health care professions called the Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences, General (CIP Code 510000) program of study. Students enrolled in the Academy for Allied Health Sciences begin taking coursework in their freshman year, and have the opportunity to earn up to twenty six concurrent/dual or articulated credits for career and technical education courses they successfully complete during high school. The program of study also allows students to earn recognized industry certifications such as First Aid, CPR, Basic Life Support and EMT-B. College credits earned in this comprehensive program of study can be applied towards an A.S. degree at Union County College, or a baccalaureate degree at Kean University, or at UMDNJ through established articulation agreements.
