In 2008, Standard 9.4 was developed for Career and Technical Education. The following document lists the content statements and the cumulative progress indicators for the Health Science Career Cluster, and the Career Pathways of the Health Science Career cluster.

HEALTH SCIENCE CAREER CLUSTER MANUAL
Knowledge and Skills Statements, Cumulative Progress Indicators and Measurement Criteria

In 2010-2011, secondary school and postsecondary educators across New Jersey will work together to develop measurement criteria for the content statements and the cumulative progress indicators for Health Science Career Cluster. Measurement criteria listed in this document were developed by the States’ Career Cluster Initiative. Secondary and postsecondary educators will review and revise the criteria (as deemed necessary), and add new criteria where needed.

This project will enable secondary school districts to incorporate criteria into health science curricula that defines what students are expected to know and be able to do to enter and advance in college and careers, better prepare students for postsecondary education, and provide a means by which secondary school districts can develop State-endorsed assessments to measure student success.

If you would like to participate in this exciting project, download the document, highlight all changes to the measurement criteria (including additions), and send the document to cwalde@doe.state.nj.us.

This document may also be used by secondary school districts when they cross-walk their health science curricula with Standard 9.4.
