Gloucester County College is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Accreditation is a formal expression of confidence in an institution’s performance in the 14 standards within the Commission's Characteristics of Excellence.
In addition to regional accreditation, all associate degrees and certificate programs are approved by the Gloucester County College Board of Trustees.

The Nuclear Medicine Technology program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology, http://www.jrcnmt.org, and The New Jersey Environmental Protection Agency Bureau of Radiologic Health. The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is accredited by the Joint Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (http://www.jrcdms.org).
The Paralegal degree and certificate programs have been approved since August 1998 by the American Bar Association (ABA) – ABA Standing Committee on Legal Assistants, http://www.abanet.org.
GCC is a member of the New Jersey Association of Colleges and Universities, http://www.njascu.org, and the American Association of Community Colleges, http://www.aacc.nche.edu.
