Accreditation is a formal expression of confidence in an institution’s performance in the 14 standards within the Commission's Characteristics of Excellence. Gloucester County College is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

In addition to regional accreditation, all associate degrees and certificate programs are approved by the Gloucester County College Board of Trustees.
