Diversity Committee : Welcome

Dr. DavisWelcome to our New Diversity Web Page

As President of Gloucester County College, it is always my goal to assure that our campus community is full of diversity. To create a learning environment that represents a full spectrum of knowledge, experiences and opportunities, there needs to be diversity of culture, of creativity, of speech, of spirit, and of races and of creeds.  Each of these when encouraged and supported, meld into what we have come to term the “melting pot” from which all forms of learning begin and grow. I hope that you enjoy our new web page, participate in contributing to it, and begin to use it as yet another means of spreading the message of this community of leaders who are committed to diversity on all of its levels, and are equally committed to making sure that we espouse this philosophy in all of our shared experiences.

Dr. Russell A. Davis, President
Gloucester County College

Welcome...

Birdena BrookinsThe primary focus of the Diversity Committee is to promote inclusiveness in all aspects of the Gloucester County College community.  The inter-connectedness of our global society requires students’ educational preparation to include exposure to diverse issues and cultures.  Our goal is to address issues of diversity throughout all aspects of the college, from curriculum to cultural events.  We encourage all members of the college community to become involved in this effort.  Our monthly meetings are posted on the GCC Portal.  All are welcome to contact members of the committee with suggestions to expand academic offerings and cultural activities for the College.
