GCC Roadrunners Win NJCAA World Series

Deptford Twp. – The Gloucester County College baseball team returned home on May 31 NJCAA Division III World Series Champions after defeating Century College (Minn.) 16-4 Wednesday evening in Tyler, Texas. Freshman Narciso Crook hit a three-run homer in the first inning, with the team building an insurmountable 10-run lead in the fifth. Crook went on to be named the World Series MVP. GCC Coach Mike Dickson was named Coach of the Tournament.

The Roadrunners were undefeated in the double-elimination series finishing the season with a 49-3 record. This is the seventh NJCAA Division III National Championship for GCC men’s baseball.

Gloucester County College’s 250-acre campus is located on Tanyard Road in Deptford, just off Exit 56 of Route 55.
