Deptford Twp. – The Center for People in Transition (PIT) at Gloucester County College in conjunction with Heart of Gloucester County will offer free workshops geared to finding gainful employment and healthy living during the month of February.
“Examining the Bulls-Eye of Your Family Unit” — Certified Professional Life Coach Sharon Roth-Lichtenfeld will provide an overview of the family unit, the roles within it and how to strengthen its support system. Topics include who is the center of the bulls-eye support system, who falls within the inner and outer circles and which of these groups have a damaging effect on the family. It meets Tuesday, Jan. 29 from 7 to 9 p.m.
“Computer and Email Attachments” — Internet Job-Search Specialist Lauri Kuder will guide individuals through the email process. Topics include how to create a professional email account as well as how to attach and send documents — a necessity in contacting potential employers. Individuals must have basic computer skills to participate in this workshop, specifically mouse and keyboard experience. It meets Monday, Feb. 4 from 5:45 to 8:30 p.m.
“How to Search and Apply for Jobs on the Internet” — Internet Job-Search Specialist Lauri Kuder will share vital tactics for finding and applying for jobs online in addition to networking. Individuals must have basic computer skills to participate in this workshop, specifically mouse and keyboard experience. It meets Monday, Feb. 11 from 5:45 to 8:30 p.m.
