Automotive Technology : Application Process

To apply for the Automotive Technology (Ford ASSET) program, the following steps must be completed by the July 3, 2009 deadline:

  1. Submit a completed application for admission to the Office of Enrollment Services at Gloucester County College.

  2. Send an official copy of your high school transcript (or GED), and official college transcripts, if applicable, to the Office of Enrollment Services. NOTE: an official transcript is one sent directly from your high school or college in a sealed envelope to the Office of Enrollment Services at GCC.

  3. Contact the Student Success Center at (856) 415-2268 or (856) 415 2248 to schedule a GCC Placement Test. You are required to test above the remedial level, or successfully complete all required remedial course work, or qualify for an exemption. (Exemption qualifications include: have an SAT score of at least 540 – Verbal and 530 – Math, complete college-level Math and English courses with grades of “C” or better, or complete required remediation at another New Jersey college).

Students who successfully complete the three steps above will be contacted by Mr. Jeff Silvestri, Ford ASSET Coordinator, and will be interviewed for a dealership co-op.

Students and dealers will be notified of the selections and assignments.

Students must meet all admission criteria and be selected by a Ford dealer in order to be accepted into the program. Admission is selective, and not all applicants will be accepted into the Ford ASSET program.
