Gloucester County College’s Business and Technology Division offers students the opportunity to pursue an area of study from over 50 transfer, career, certificate and professional development programs.  All of the Business and Technology Programs are designed to help you realize your academic potential and professional goals in many of the nation’s most established and newest careers.

Our courses are taught by dedicated, experienced and well qualified faculty members, who are very interested in student success.  We use state-of-the-art technology in the classrooms and labs. We strive to provide you with plenty of individual attention. Course scheduling is flexible, allowing you to work around other commitments.  The following is a brief overview of the various programs offered in the Business and Technology Division.

Transfer Programs: If you are planning to transfer to a four-year institution, you should select an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering Science. These curricula have been designed specifically to provide you with the educational foundation necessary for transfer to the 4-year institution of your choice.

Career Programs: If your plan is to prepare for a job in business or in a technical field immediately after graduation then select one of the 24 Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree offerings. Many of the courses in these AAS degree programs will also transfer to a 4-year institution. These career offerings prepare you for careers in a wide variety of the following business and technical popular fields:

  • Accounting or Accounting with a Computer Option
  • Automotive Technology (Ford ASSET)
  • Civil Engineering with a variety of options
  • Computer Graphic Arts in either Interactive Media or Print Options
  • Computer Information Technology
  • Computerized Office Administration
  • Marketing and Management with a choice of specializations
  • Network Management
  • Paralegal
  • Technical Studies
  • Web Site Development for E-Commerce

Certificates & Professional Development Programs: In addition to the 2-year degrees, GCC also offers certificate and professional development programs. Many of the courses in Certificate programs carry academic credit and may be applied toward an Associate’s degree program in that field. These programs contain the specialized courses from the specific area of study. Areas of study included in these programs are: Accounting, Computer Graphic Arts, Computer Information Technology, CAAD, Civil Engineering, Computerized Office Administration, Network Management, Paralegal, Real Estate, and Web Development.
