The telecourse program at Gloucester County College includes videocassette presentations, textbook and study guides, assignments, testing and a variety of other instructional materials designed to be used as the principal components of a college course. The courses are academically equivalent to on-campus courses and Gloucester County College faculty work with you throughout the semester.
Each telecourse is a credit course which gives you, the student, the opportunity to complete most of the course work outside of the classroom on your own time, usually at home. Telecourse students study more independently with guidance from the course instructor through a variety of communication and instructional techniques. Since you are learning on your time, a strong commitment on your part is required.
GCC
offers a variety of telecourses in a broad range of disciplines
including arts and humanities, business, science, and social
sciences. They are developed by the nation's most respected
and experienced colleges, public television stations,
and independent procedures.
Students will receive a telecourse brochure from the Division of Instructional Technology shortly after they register for a telecourse and they will receive information from their telecourse instructor during the first week of the semester.
