Welcome
The Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation offers our majors two different programs of study:

• The Health, Physical Education, and Recreation major offers our students an Associate in Arts (A.A.) Degree that will help prepare them to transfer to four-year programs with majors in Health, Physical Education, or Recreation. This program is for students who wish to enter into the teaching profession, become athletic trainers, or become recreation majors.
• The Exercise Science major offers our students an Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree that will help them transfer to four-year programs that offer a Bachelor’s Degree in variety of Health and Exercise Science fields.  This major also helps prepare those students who upon graduation will be seeking immediate employment in professional positions in adult wellness/fitness centers.
