NJ STARSNJ STARS (New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship)
NJ STARS is a program that was created in 2004 by the State of New Jersey to provide access to higher education for the State's highest achieving students. Please note that the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA) is the governing agency and will determine guidelines for state residency, refund, and repayment. Below are the Fact Sheets for specific groups of students.

Please select the Fact Sheet that corresponds to your status:

Fact Sheets for the graduating class of 2012 have not been released yet. Please refer back to this site in the Spring semester for more information.

***EVERY NJ STARS STUDENT MUST COMPLETE THE FAFSA AND APPROPRIATE FINANCIAL AID PAPERWORK YEARLY BY THE APPROPRIATE DEADLINES. FAILURE TO COMPLETE THESE ITEMS CAN RESULT IN THE LOSS OF YOUR NJ STARS SCHOLARSHIP***

All out-of-county students MUST submit a chargeback every semester by the deadline to the Business Office at Gloucester County College to maintain their NJ STARS eligibility.

All incoming transfer students MUST meet with the NJ STARS coordinator prior to their first semester. There are several documents that must be filled out before you can receive your NJ STARS scholarship.

NJ STARS I students may also have the opportunity to take advantage of NJ STARS II, which provides eligible students with a scholarship toward tuition at a participating NJ public four-year college or university.
