Huyett Latest Roadrunner to Sign

Soph pitcher CJ Huyett became the latest Roadrunner to sign a scholarship offer. Huyett weighed his options after the season and then made the decision to accept a scholarship from Old Dominion University.

Athletic Banquet Honors Accomplishments

The annual GCC athletic banquet had a lot of honors, not the least of which was the 9 NJCAA All-Americans in the photo.
All of GCC's teams were represented at the banquet which was a fun night for everyone involved.

Men's Tennis at NJCAA Nationals
May 10-15, Plano, TX
The men's tennis team returned to GCC on Friday after a 4th place finish at the NJCAA National Tennis Tournament. Sophomore Nick Shepherd became the first men's tennis national champion and first team All-American.

Track & Field at NJCAA Nationals
May 6-9, Alfred, NY
The men's and women's outdoor track and field teams participated in the National Championship meet this week. The women finished 4th in the nation and the men placed 7th!

Women's Tennis at NJCAA Nationals
May 2-6, Tuscon, AZ
The women's tennis team completed play in Tuscon on Wednesday as part of the NJCAA National Tennis Championships. The team finished in fourth place. Official RESULTS

Softball Suffers Season Ending Heartbreaker

The nationally ranked Roadrunners finished 37-9 on the season after losing a tough game against Northampton CC 2-8.

Baseball Advances to Regional Semifinals
Monday, May 4, 2009, Sewell, NJ
The Roadrunners beat Middlesex CC 4-1 and 4-3 in a first round Regional doubleheader on Saturday. Outfielder Bryan Miller (pictured) hit 2 homeruns on the day taking him to 6 homeruns on the season. Sophomore Jeff White pitched the first complete game, striking out 6 batters and earning his 5th win of the season.

Region XIX Roadrunner Softball Recap
Monday, May 4, 2009, Toms River, NJ
GCC faced Northampton CC in the first game of the tournament on Saturday winning 2-0 and fell to Brookdale CC 6-7 in their second game of the day. Due to a rain delay, the Final Four will continue on Wednesday, May 6.

Homeruns Vital In Victory Over Vikings
Tuesday, April 28, 2009, Sewell, NJ
Gloucester beat Mercer CC in an exciting back-and-forth duel. Freshman infielder Keith Reynolds hit two 2-run homeruns in the victory. Clint Lawyer and Bill Rice also hit key homeruns to lead the the Roadrunners past the Vikings 13-11. GCC will begin Regional play on Saturday, May 2.

Softball Advances to Region XIX Finals

The Roadrunners hosted the Cougars from Camden CC in first round Region XIX action over the weekend winning two games to one and advancing to the Region XIX Finals May 2-3 at Ocean CC.

Men's Tennis Wins Region XIX Tournament
Sunday, April 26, 2009, West Winsdor, NJ
The men's tennis team won this weekends Region XIX Championship at Mercer County Park by sweeping the singles titles and winning at the second doubles flight. Brookdale CC finished second. GCC frosh Steve Suboleski also took home the singles championship.

Baseball Shuts Out Northampton - Sophomore Players Recognized

The Roadrunners got their bats moving early shutting out Northampton CC 11-0 in the first game of the doubleheader and 12-0 in the second, improving to 31-9 on the season.

Softball Seeded #3 in Region XIX - 6 Sophomores Honored
Thursday, April 23, 2009, Sewell, NJ
After a disappointing doubleheader loss to the Jersey Blues of Brookdale CC, the Roadrunners are seeded third going into Regional play. The Roadrunners are 12-4 in regional play and will host Camden CC (6-10) in a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 12:00pm.

Men's Tennis Wraps Up Conference Title
Tuesday, April 21, 2009, Lincroft, NJ
Soph Taylor Devlin (pictured) pulled out a key 3 set win over Brookdale CC at third singles as part of GCC's 7-2 victory that wrapped up the Garden State Athletic Conference title. GCC will compete this weekend in the Region XIX Tennis Tournament.

Gloucester County College Athletic teams have won fourteen NJCAA National Championships and GCC athletes have garnered individual national championships on twenty-one different occasions. Over 250 Roadrunners have been named as NJCAA

Sophomore pitcher Jill Mills is 11-0 on the season and leads the NJCAA Division III in two statistical categories: individual hitting, with a .479 batting average, and RBI's, with 24 RBI's in 23 games played.
