The nationally ranked Roadrunners finished 37-9 on the season after losing a tough game to Northampton CC 2-8. Northampton came out strong scoring one run in the 1st inning. GCC tied up the game in the 3rd inning, but Northampton rallied in the 4th and 5th innings scoring 4 runs during that stretch. The Roadrunners were hitting well, but unfortunately did not get the hits they needed when runners were in scoring position. Megan Becker was 2 for 3 on the day, and teammates Danielle DePasquale and Jessica Vance finished 2 for 4.
It was an outstanding season for the Roadrunners and for Head Coach Steve DePasquale who got the 400th win of his coaching career early this season. His daughter Danielle DePasquale will also go down in history, becoming GCC's stolen base leader. In additon, Erika Knorr broke the school record for the most career pitching wins.
Danielle DePasquale along with Jill Mills were named to the 1st team Division III All-Region team, and Erika Knorr and Heather Flynn were 2nd team All-Region selections. DePasquale and Mills were also named top players in the Region. All Garden State Conference team selections include: 1st team - Danielle DePasquale and Erika Knorr; 2nd team - Heather Flynn, Megan Becker, and Jill Mills.
