Former GCC
baseball standouts Nick Alloway (left)
and Bill Rice (center) paid a visit to
Head Baseball Coach Mike Dickson before
heading off to Spring Training 2011.
Alloway, a right handed pitcher, is
currently in with the Minnesota Twins
organization and Rice, an outfielder, is
currently in the Phillies farm system.

Larry “Pretty Boy Sharpe” Weil has spent a lot of time on the mat, some of his most memorable at Gloucester County College.

| Alumni Spotlight: Mike Wilcox - National Champion |

The GCC athletics department would like to congratulate former Roadrunner standout Mike Wilcox on winning the NCAA DIII championship this weekend.
Wilcox is a senior wrestler at Delaware Valley College and was also named Most Outstanding Wrestler at the tournament. He is the first DVC wrestler to receive that honor.

| Alumni Spotlight: Dimitri Athans |

Athans, now a junior at New Jersey Institute of Technology, has shown that he has the skills and toughness to compete successfully at the NCAA Division I level. Seeing his first action for the Highlanders this fall, Athans went 4-4 in singles play and 3-1 in doubles action.

Update 6/1/09: Dimitri Athans was presented with the NJIT Team Player Award. This award exemplifies team spirit, sportsmanship, and hard-work on and off the tennis court. Athans finished the season with a 8-8 overall record, coming at fourth and fifth singles. |
