Athletics: Men's Soccer
The 2007 GCC men’s soccer team held strong despite a shortcoming of victories. The team posted an overall record of 3 wins and 11 losses during the ’07 campaign. Strong sophomore leadership kept the team working hard for the duration of the season striving for that next victory. The Roadrunners were competitive in all contests but unfortunately fell a little short in eleven of the outings.
The 2008 team will return some very talented second year players. With some added talent the Roadrunners will once again be in the mix for another title. The 2008 season will be Head Coach, John Jones’ fourth season guiding the GCC Men’s soccer program. During his three seasons at the helm, he has posted a career record of 16-25-2. Coach Jones was an All-Region XIX performer during his soccer playing career at GCC. He played professional soccer before returning to South Jersey to serve as Head Coach at Audubon High School and Collingswood High School. He also has served as Head Coach of numerous successful club teams.
