scoreless innings to finish the game as #1 ranked GCC
improved to 33-2 overall.

Sophomore Day and came away with 3-0 and 5-0 wins.

28-2 overall, has been moved to #1 in the latest NJCAA
National Poll out today from Colorado Springs, CO. The
team has been led by the starting pitching which has
been consistent throughout the year.

GCC Baseball is off to a great start
and added four more wins this weekend.
The team is 18-1 overall and 2-0 in
Region 19 play. This is a big week as
GCC plays rivals Camden CC Tuesday and
Brookdale CC Thursday.

with a win over visiting Salem CC.
Sophomore Andrew Furber got the win
for GCC and Jeff Singer and Kevin
Walsh (pictured left) finished the
game in relief.

have a number or returning players and
a good core of new players as both
transfers adn freshmen.

Roadrunners Improve to 2-0 |

Two days into the season and two GCC
sophomore pitchers have wins under
their belts. Today, Bill Mendek
(pictured left) pitched a complete
game two hit shutout in the
Roadrunners 10-0 win over Raritan
Valley CC. He also struck out six
batters with just one...
walk.
Sophomore Tom Kain had three hits and
three RBI's, Matt Ackerman had three
hits again today, and Dan O'Neill and
Eric Frain had two hits apiece. GCC is
off tomorrow and will host Suffolk CC
(weather permitting) on Sunday. Good
job Roadrunners!

Roadrunners Win Season Opener |

The NJCAA Baseball season is underway and
the Roadrunners earned thier first win
with an 11-1 decision over host Mercer CC.
Leading the way for GCC was returning
NJCAA All-American Jeff Singer (pictured
left). Singer pitched 8 innings allowing
two hits, two walks, and one earned run
for the Roadrunners.
Narciso Crook cleared the bases in the
first inning with a double and transfer
Matt Ackerman went 3-5.
The Roadrunners play host to Raritan
Valley CC on Friday afternoon.

Buchter Gets Invite to Braves Spring
Training |

GCC Roadrunner alum Ryan Buchter will be
heading to Spring Training at ESPN Wide
World of Sports with the Atlanta Braves
organization. Buchter, a hard throwing
lefty from Highland HS, played for GCC
under Head Coach Mike Dickson in 2006.

of Fame will be inducted Friday evening,
September 28, 2012 including baseball's
Joe Scopio. The night will also honor
GCC's first National Championship Team
the 1992 Baseball Team.
