Cross Country Raises Funds and Awareness for Breast Cancer

Members of the Cross Country team sold snacks and drinks and gave out ribbons at local meets

The team delivered their funds to Cheryl Budd as part of the campus-wide effort

The GCC Cross Country team is busy this time of the year training for and competing in their most important meets of the season. However, the team decided to take time out of their schedules to help raise funds for breast cancer awareness month.

The team made pink t-shirts and ribbons to wear as they sold snacks and drinks during local high school meets being held on campus during the week of October 19th-23rd and October 26th. The team distributed ribbons to anyone who made a purchase or donation.

On October 28th the team met with GCC Student Activities Coordinator Cheryl Budd and contributed $250 to the campus wide fundraising effort.
