DiPol was a member of GCC's 1995 National Championship Team

July 7, 2011 Deptford, NJ

The Gloucester County College Roadrunner Wrestling Program has added a coach with a great reputation in Southern NJ as well as ties to the program. Pete DiPol will join the coaching staff after leading both Haddonfield HS and Camden Catholic HS to championships at the high school level as their head coach. DiPol was also a member of the 1995 NJCAA Division III National Championship team as a wrestler at Gloucester CC and also a graduate of the Gloucester County Police Academy. DiPol was approved at last evening's College Board of Trustees meeting and will assume his duties as Head Coach immediately.

DiPol has been regarded as one of the best high school coaches in Southern NJ for the past few seasons. Best known for his head coaching stints at Camden Catholic HS and Haddonfield HS, DiPol also spent time as Head Coach at Edgewood HS and Schalick HS. His Camden Catholic teams finished the season as the top team in South Jersey in both 2006 and 2007. At Haddonfield HS he turned the program into a power leading the team their first District Championship in 30 years. The Roadrunners expect that his tireless work ethic and proven leadership skills will help the GCC wrestling program build on its already impressive 6 NJCAA National Championships.

Dipol was a standout wrestler at powerhouse Paulsboro HS in the early 1990's. At Paulsboro he was a member of four state championship teams and the #1 team in New Jersey in 1991. Dipol was a captain of his Paulsboro team during his senior season and was a two-time District Champion, 1994 Region 8 Champion, and Most Valuable Wrestler of the Region 8 Tournament.

DiPol is currently teaching at Haddonfield Middle School. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University, a Master’s Degree from Liberty University and is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Education from Northeastern University. He resides in Haddonfield, NJ with his wife and three children.
