Mike Dickson
Head Coach

Head Coach, Mike Dickson enters his third season at the helm of the roadrunner baseball program. In his first two seasons Coach Dickson has posted a record of 77 wins and 21 losses.
Dickson came to GCC following coaching stints at the University of Pennsylvania and Rowan University . While at Rowan, Dickson helped guide the Profs to a 138-42 record, two straight trips to the NCAA World Series and two New Jersey Athletic Conference championships (NJAC) in 2002 and 2003.
Coach Dickson began his coaching career at his high school alma mater Gloucester Catholic High School . Dickson was an Assistant Varsity Coach and Head Junior Varsity Coach at GCHS. The 2001 GCHS team won the prestigious Diamond Classic and the New Jersey State Baseball Championship. The talented team capped off a great year by winning the American Legion World Series during the summer.
Dickson graduated from Rowan University in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in health and exercise science. While attending Rowan, Dickson set several offensive records and was named Second Team All-American and was awarded the New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 1999. Dickson earned his master's degree from Rowan University in Higher Education Administration. Dickson is a full time member of the HPER Department at GCC.
Josh Schwartz
Asst. Coach, Pitching

One of the most successful and most competitive college pitchers ever to come out of South Jersey. Josh was a three-time Division III All-American at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. During his years at Rowan University, Josh was named New Jersey Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year three times.
Once Josh was done his playing career at Rowan, he was selected in the 44th round of the MLB draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. Josh, also pitched one season for the New Jersey Jackals of the CAN AM Independent League. In 2005, Josh set the NCAA All-Division Record by Winning 37 Consecutive games in a row. In the fall of 2005 Josh served as an assistant coach for University of Pennsylvania. “Josh is an excellent teacher, and has been an excellent addition to our staff. His experience as a pitcher and in professional baseball will enhance the quality of our program” stated Dickson. He will work with the pitchers as well as the outfielders.
Josh is currently a substitute teacher and works several baseball camps throughout the year and resides in Mantua, NJ.
