Athletics: Women's Basketball

 

After compiling a 18-11 record and a semi-final finish in the Region XIX Tournament last year, the 2007-2008 “Roadrunners” seek to climb higher on the NJCAA Division III basketball ladder.

All-American Guard Kristina Cox {Deptford}, Forward Liz Plum (Gloucester Catholic), and Forward Jazmin Clement (Deptford), return from last year’s squad.  Guard Nikki Wasko (Timber Creek), who missed all of last season due to an injury, returns to bolster the backcourt.  Several promising newcomers will provide more than capable additions to the roster.

Head Coach Tom McCormack who has served as coach of the “Roadrunners” since the program was reestablished in 1998, returns to guide the program.  Coach McCormack,  was named Coach of the Year in Region XIX in 2002 and Coach of the Year by the WBCA in 2003, He has compiled a career coaching record of 128-119 at Gloucester County College.

Coach Trish Green serves as the more than capable Assistant Coach for the “Roadrunners’.  Coach Green captured numerous NJ State High School Championships while serving as Head Coach at Haddonfield Memorial High School.  She was recently inducted into the Gloucester County Sports Hall of Fame.
