Gloucester County College places 4th at NJCAA National Wrestling Championship! The Roadrunners finished the 07-08 season strong with a fourth place finish at the NJCAA National Championship in Rochester, Minnesota. Sophomore Randy Moore was crowned All-American with an individual 4th place showing in the 165 lb weight class. Randy also earned the “Joseph A. Rockenback Award” for sportsmanship as selected by all of the coaches at the tournament. The Gloucester County College Wrestling program is annually one of the top programs in NJCAA Division III and the 07-08 campaign was no exception.
Head Coach Dan Calhoun finishes a successful first year leading the Roadrunner wrestling program. Coach Calhoun is out on the recruiting trail looking for wrestling talent for the 08-09 season. If you are a graduating high school wrestler looking for a college wrestling opportunity, then GCC may just be the right fit for you. If you have a strong work ethic and are willing to push yourself to your limits to meet your potential we want to talk to you.
Prior to joining the staff at Gloucester County Coach Calhoun was the head coach at Williamstown High School in Williamstown, New Jersey. Coach Calhoun is a graduate of Gloucester County College and also the University of North Carolina. Dan was a vital member of both schools wrestling programs.
