September 10, 2009, Deptford, NJ
The women's soccer team opened the season with a 9-0 win over visiting Manor College (0-4). The Roadrunners were led by sophomore Jael Fedora on the offensive end and sophomore Caitlin Daly on the defensive end.
Fedora controlled the midfield for most of the game and scored the teams second and third goals early in the game. Daly shut down any early Manor offense and led a defense that did not allow a shot on goal.
Four freshman also contributed to the offensive production: MaryKate Covely (3 goals, 2 assists) Francesca Navarro (1 goal, 3 assists) Ashley Kodluk (1 goal) and Jennifer Longley (1 goal).
The Roadrunners will get a tough test on Saturday as they will host the Lackawanna Falcons at noon.
