Roadrunner Softball Trio Named All-Americans
The NJCAA released the 2013 All-American Team info on May 23.

May 23, 2013 Colorado Springs, CO

Roadrunner Softball finished off another great season under Head Coach Steve DePasquale in 2013. The team finished the year 44-13 and ranked #3 in the NJCAA National Poll. The Roadrunners improved steadily throughout the season and for their efforts three members of the team were named NJCAA Division III All-Americans.

Erin Huesser, 1st Team - Utility
Soph Erin Huesser finished the season in the National Top 5 in three statistical categories. Her 22 wins on the mound ranked her 3rd in the nation, her 132 strikeouts ranked her 5th in the nation, and her 10 homeruns tied her for 4th in the nation. Huesser also played in the field making her a true utility player.

Briana Villari, 1st Team - Outfield
Soph Briana Villari was tremendous in the field for the Roadrunners and as a team leader. Her production as an offensive player was nothing less than astounding as well. Villari batted .455 for the season with 5 homeruns, 57 RBI's, a team leading 86 hits, and 22 stolen bases. She struck out just 8 times in 189 at bats.

Taylor Rizzotte, 2nd Team - Outfield
Freshman Taylor Rizzotte set the table for the Roadrunners. She finished the season batting .417 and was fourth in the nation in stolen bases with 29. Rizzotte teamed with Villari in the outfield to give the Roadrunners the best defensive group in the nation with speed and armstrength. Rizzotte will be a key returned for the Roadrunners in 2014!
