Steve DePasquale enters his 16th season as the Head Women’s Softball Coach at Gloucester County College in 2009-2010. DePasquale has compiled a 429-192-1 career record as head coach for 15 consecutive winning seasons at GCC. His teams have reached the Region XIX Final Four Championship series 12 times during his coaching career. Under DePasquale’s guidance, Gloucester County College has produced 11 NJCAA All-Americans, 6 Louisville Slugger National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Americans, 31 All-Region XIX stars and 40 First Team All-Garden State Athletic Conference standouts.
In 2007, DePasquale led the Roadrunners to a 3rd place finish at the 2007 NJCAA Division III World Series Softball Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota. In 2006, DePasquale and his staff were recognized as the NFCA Eastern Regional Coaching Staff of the Year for the second time in his tenure. The first time DePasquale and his staff were honored as the NFCA Eastern Regional Coaching Staff of the Year was in 2000 when the Roadrunners advanced to the Region XIX Finals.
Prior to becoming the Gloucester County College Head Softball Coach, DePasquale served as the varsity girls basketball coach at Glassboro High School where his teams won 2 conference championships during his 4 year stint. He also worked as an assistant coach for 9 years with the Glassboro Bulldogs Football program, acting as the defensive coordinator in his final 6 seasons. Additionally, DePasquale is the founder of South Jersey Rage Youth Travel Softball Organization.
DePasquale attended Glassboro State College and Atlantic Community College, graduating with a degree in Culinary Arts. He is currently a Teacher of Culinary Arts at Gloucester County Institute of Technology where he has worked for 23 years.
A native of South Jersey and graduate of Williamstown High School, DePasquale resides in Williamstown with his wife of 28 years, Karen, and has three children, Amy, Randy and Danielle.
