The women's tennis team joined with three other GCC fall sports teams to donate more than 20 backpacks filled with school supplies to Operation Backpack.
The women's tennis team finished fourth overall and the 2nd Doubles tandem of Kristen Abdallah and Sara Wilkens won the national championship at their flight.
For the first time in school history a tennis program has repeated as the Region XIX Champion. The women outlasted Brookdale CC to win the 2009 tournament with 14 points to Brookdale's 11 points.
