Gloucester County College serves a diverse population of learners-both on campus and in the community- teaching basic skills (reading, writing and math) and assisting learners in acquiring the knowledge to function effectively as a worker, citizen, and lifelong learner.

We respect individual learning differences and strive to instill essential core knowledge and values through a curriculum that fulfills learning needs.
Gloucester County College’s adult education programs are funded by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Gloucester County Workforce Investment Board.
Adult Basic Education
Adult Basic Education classes are for adults who do not possess a high school diploma and require training in basic (below high school level) reading, writing, and math.
GED Test Preparation
The GED Test Preparation classes are for adults who wish to study high school level reading, writing, math, social studies, and science in order to pass the GED test and receive a high school diploma issued by the State of New Jersey.
Academic Enhancement
Adult Enhancement classes are for adults who possess a high school diploma but wish to improve math, language, or reading skills in order to fulfill a personal educational goal.
English as a Second Language
English as a Second Language classes are available for adults who want to learn and adapt themselves to the American language and culture. Special emphasis is placed on improving communication skills in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
