Continuing Education: Business and Industry Training: Services

The following is a brief summary of services that are currently available at the BIT:

• A full range of supervisory and management development courses including Time Management, Problem Solving and Team Building
• Sales training including Successful Selling Skills and Front-Line Customer Service
• Microsoft Applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Manufacturing courses including Black/Blue Seal-High Pressure Boilers, Blueprint Reading, Industrial Electronics and Control Systems, ISO, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, Welding
• Safety training including CPR/ AED, Extinguisher Training, OSHA certifications
• Specialty safety training in the handling of hazardous materials, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Confined Space and other technical safety courses available through the Fire Academy
• Grant-writing support to obtain New Jersey Department of Labor, Customized Training Grants
• Access to background screening and testing services for applicants or for current employees
• English as a Second Language, Adult Basic Education Courses, and specialty language courses for supervisory employees, e.g., Spanish for Supervisors
• A full range of credit courses available through the Academic Services Division of the College
