What is JerseyCat?
Funded by the New Jersey State Library, the Library Services & Technology Act, and the Regional Library Cooperative of New Jersey, JerseyCat provides access to the collections of participating academic, public, school, and special libraries of NJ.
JerseyCat displays the location of books and audiovisual materials. Unlike LOGIN, GCC's Catalog, JerseyCat does not tell you if the item is on the shelf or checked out.
AccessJerseyCat may be accessed from the Portal on the Library Online Resources page, under Library Catalogs, or by clicking here.
Searching JerseyCat
Once in, the Keyword Search option is the default. To view other search
options, click on Browse or Advanced Search.
Search options include: All Headings, Author, Title, Subject, ISBN, ISSN, LCCN,
or GPO numbers
Generally, begin with Keyword Search or Browse, unless you want to search by
other options above
Searches can be narrowed by combining terms with the connecting word "and."
For example: acid rain and prevention
On the search results screen, click on the record you wish to view.
To Determine which library owns the title, scroll down the page to Locations Information to view the libraries that own the title.
