What is VALE?
VALE, Virtual Academic Library Environment, is a consortium of academic libraries
in New Jersey, formed to help meet the demands of students and faculty for access
to scholarly materials.
Selected Databases
• ABI Inform (ProQuest) covers business and management topics and contains
citations and abstracts from U.S. and international journals and trade magazines.
• Criminal Justice Periodicals (ProQuest) covers law enforcement, corrections
administration, drug enforcement, rehabilitation, family law, and industrial
security.
• CQ Researcher (CQ Press) offers reporting and analysis on issues shaping
our world.
• LION: Literature Online, a fully searchable library of more than 350,000
works of English and American poetry, drama and prose, plus biographies, bibliographies
and key criticism and reference resources.
• Literature Resource Center is a literature reference database that includes
fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, history, journalism, and more.
• ProQuest Newspapers (ProQuest) provides an index to five national newspapers
including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles
Times and The Christian Science Monitor.

GCC Portal
VALE can be accessed both on-campus and off. When off-campus you will login
to the Portal twice.
