A descendent of two of the most important names in American history: the great-great-great grandson of Frederick Douglass and the great-great grandson of Booker T. Washington, Mr. Morris is a dynamic and powerful public speaker on the subject of human trafficking and modern-day slavery.  His dynamic public appearances have included: keynote addresses for corporate America, charitable organizations, universities, speeches for government agencies and interactive conversations with large groups of students in every part of the country. THE HARLEM RENAISSANCE - presented by Birdena Brookins

This presentation by Professor Birdena Brookins will focus on the literary works of noted authors from 1919 through the 1940’s coming from the center of Harlem. There will also be a brief discussion of theatre, Jazz and artistic talents from that era.
