The Gloucester County College Paralegal Program will convene at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, in the College Center cafeteria to celebrate 10 years of approval by the American Bar Association (ABA).
College alumni, current students, faculty, administration, friends and family are invited to share a meal and memories while commemorating the many successes of the paralegal program. Reservations are required and tickets are $5 per person.
GCC’s Paralegal Program, approved by the ABA since 1998, provides specialized legal training and prepares students to gather and analyze facts relevant to legal disputes, perform research, assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, and prepare witnesses and evidence for legal proceedings. For individuals looking to further their education, an articulation agreement with Wilmington University in Delaware assures GCC students earning an associate degree with a grade of “C” or better admission as juniors to the four-year institution. GCC is also the only college in the area to offer the paralegal certificate program— a curriculum that combines internship and the skills necessary to begin a career as a legal assistant to students who have already earned bachelor’s or associate degrees.
