Pell Grant
This is a federally funded program. Undergraduate students with financial need are eligible for consideration. Pell grants are renewable for the duration of the undergraduate degree program. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to determine the Pell Grant. A student can not receive the Pell Grant if they have a previous bachelor’s degree. Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
This is a federally funded program. Undergraduate students with financial need who are enrolled
at least half-time are eligible for consideration. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to determine if you are eligible for the SEOG. Click HERE for more information.

Tuition Aid Grants (TAG)
Tuition Aid Grants are awarded to full- and part-time undergraduate students demonstrating financial need. Grants have a graduated value based upon the student’s financial need and tuition charges at Gloucester County College. Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholars Program
Students demonstrating the highest level of academic achievement based on secondary school records and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores will be selected for consideration by their secondary schools. Financial need is established by filing the FAFSA. Click HERE for more information.

Stafford Loan
Students interested in applying for a Stafford Loan must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In addition first time borrows must complete a master promissory note (MPN). Work-Study Program
GCC offers a limited number of part-time jobs on campus to students with financial need. Work-study awards are based upon the amount of available funds and student financial need. Foundation Scholarships
The GCC Foundation awards numerous academic and program scholarships annually to qualified students enrolled on a full- or part-time basis. To qualify, students generally must be in good standing and have above-average academic records. Scholarship criteria vary depending upon the scholarship classification or program of study.
Scholarship announcements are published in the GCC Beep Sheet, posted on the bulletin board in the Student Services Building as well as other buildings throughout the campus, the Student Services Information Desk, and posted on the GCC Website. Click HERE for more information.

Veterans Benefits
Veterans who need information regarding their Montgomery GI Bill Benefits need to logon to the VA website www.gibill.va.gov and follow the prompts to Education Benefits. This website will provide Chapters 30, 33, 35, 1606 and 1607 eligibility requirements.

National Guard Free Tuition Program
New applicants for the National Guard Free Tuition Program should complete their paperwork (the FAFSA) 5-7 weeks prior to actual registration. All NG students, must submit an original Commander's letter of Certification (NJDMAVA form 621-2-15Nov00) each time they register for classes. This letter must be dated no more than 60 days prior to the date of registration for courses. All applicants must submit a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) annually. In addition, NG students must declare a major of study (undecided is not acceptable) and must maintain a 2.00 Grade Point Average. All students in the program must wait until Late Registration to register for courses. Late Registration dates are available in the Student Development office. National Guard students may submit appropriate documents for evaluation for the possible awarding of credits for military training. Educational Opportunity Funds (EOF)
New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) is one of the
nation's most comprehensive and successful state-supported efforts
to provide access to higher education for students who lack the
economic resources and academic preparation to attend college.
EOF grants assist New Jersey residents who are capable and
motivated to succeed in college. A limited number of students
are accepted into the program each year with the largest number
of new awards made in the fall semester to first-time, full-time
students. Recipients must be full-time students at the College
and New Jersey residents for 12 consecutive months prior
to the semester for which funding is requested. Financial need

Some civic organizations offer scholarships to it's members or it's member's dependents. Check with local organizations in your community about such aid. These organizations might include the Lion's Club, Boy Scouts, local churches, etc.

NJ Unemployed Persons: Job Training Program
Unemployed persons with proof of eligibility from the Department of Labor Division of Workforce New Jersey can enroll in a job training course which shall provide them with an identifiable skill.
Eligible individuals who wish to attend a county college
- must first apply to the county college within their county of residence
- those seeking to enroll in credit courses under this program are responsible for filing for both State and Federal aid
- the designated registration period for eligible individuals is the college's designated late registration period
- although tuition is waived individuals shall be responsible for the cost of equipment, materials, textbooks, laboratory fees and a registration fee not to exceed $20.00 per academic term.

Volunteer Firefighter / Rescue Worker Tuition Discount Program
Volunteer firefighters and rescue workers may be eligible for $300.00 tuition credit per semester (up to 2,400.00). The tuition credit is capped at $600.00 per academic year. Financial Aid will need a letter from your fire company or municipality stating you are in good standing. This credit is for the volunteer or his/her dependents.
