The College provides two registration options for new students: open registration sessions and mail-in registration.

New students must attend Open Registration in the Student Services building in order to register for classes until they have earned 16-college level credits at GCC. Click Open Registration for dates and times. The following is needed in order to register for classes:

  • Bring a valid Photo ID (Driver's License, High School ID, etc).
  • Obtain your GCC Username & Password from the Information Center.
  • Obtain your Registration PIN number from an advisor.

Mail-in registration is only available to part-time students. Please click HERE to view a list of mail-in forms.

Register

You will need to present a valid Photo ID (Driver's License, High School ID, or GCC Student ID) during this process. It is also recommended that you bring any other documents (SAT scores, college transcripts if you have attended another college, etc.) and a pen. Once you have registered for classes you will be able to print your class schedule and a Registration Fee Assessment (Tuition & Fees Bill).


I have received my PIN from my Advisor, how do I register?

Steps to register:
  • Log onto our website @ www.gccnj.edu
  • Type your user name and password in GCC Portal in top left hand corner
  • Click on Academics Tab
  • Click Look Up Classes
  • Select on the semester you wish to register
  • Select term and search by subject

Steps to get your detailed semester schedule:

  • Follow steps 1 and 2 above
  • Click on Academics Tab
  • Click on Student Detail Schedule
  • Select term and hit submit

Steps to access your fees:

  • Log onto our website @ www.gccnj.edu
  • Type your user name and password in GCC Portal in top left hand corner
  • Click on Academics Tab
  • Click on Account Summary by Term¬†OR
  • Click on Registration then on Registration Fee Assessment and select Term

I am a high school student, how do I register for the High School Options Program?

  • Current high school students interested in taking a course at GCC must fill out a paper application and submit a High School Participation Form signed by the applicant, your high school guidance counselor and a parent/guardian.  If your high school's guidance office does not have these documents, you may obtain them from the Admissions Office at GCC or download the form HERE.
  • Return the completed paperwork and $20.00 application fee to the Office of Admissions at GCC.
  • All students must see an Academic Advisor during Open Registration hours to select their course. Students may take two courses at the discounted HSOP rate of $110/course. This rate does not include textbooks or specialized fees (e.g., science lab fees) or the application fee. Please note that photo ID is required.
  • Please note: HSOP Students must take the placement test if registering for: English Composition, Math and/or Science courses.

I am going to be transferring to GCC, how do I register?

  • An application to the College must be submitted. If you have not previously done so, you may apply online (application fee waived). Please note if you fill out a paper application, there will be a $20 application fee.
  • You either need to take the GCC Placement Test or provide proof of exemption with SAT scores or completion of a college-level course in English and mathematics.
  • You will need to have your official high school and college transcripts sent to GCC or bring them with you. You will want to fill out this form to have your college transcripts evaluated for transfer credit. Have your official transcript sent to: Office of Enrollment Services, Gloucester County College, 1400 Tanyard Road, Sewell, NJ 08080.
  • You will then meet with an Academic Advisor during Open Registration to receive your Registration Pin Number and register for courses.

I attend another college/university, and only need to take a course or two at GCC, how do I register?

  • An application to the College must be submitted. If you have not previously done so, you may apply online (application fee waived). Please note if you fill out a paper application, there will be a $20 application fee.
  • You will either need to take the GCC Placement Test or provide proof of exemption with SAT scores or completion of a college-level course in English and mathematics. If necessary, you must also submit proof of completion of a course pre-requisite.
  • Once your application is processed, and exemptions are processed, you will need to see an Academic Advisor during Open Registration hours to receive your Registration Pin Number and to select your course(s).
