What is the Jump Start Program?
During your junior and senior years of high school RCGC’s High School Admissions Recruiter will visit your high school to assist you in planning the transition from high school to college. We realize this can be a stressful time for high school juniors and seniors, and we are prepared to help. The Jump Start Program assists you in navigating the process of admissions, financial aid and registering for classes.
Is there are charge for the Jump Start Program?
The college application fee is waived. When you participate in the Jump Start Program, you will be accepted to RCGC right at your high school. Your guidance office will provide your official HS transcript, and you will receive the RCGC acceptance packet in the mail.
How do I satisfy the placement test requirement?
After you receive your acceptance packet, you must satisfy the placement test requirement either by taking the placement test or showing proof of exemption. Please click on the following link to learn more about our exemption criteria: Placement Test Exemption Criteria
What is Specialized Registration?
Student who satisfy the placement test requirement may participate in Specialized Registration during the month of April. Specialized Registration gives you the opportunity to plan ahead, attend an orientation session geared specifically for incoming freshman, and register for your fall classes. You will get to know your Academic Advisor and get a taste all that RCGC has to offer you as an incoming student.
