Township, County, State & Federal Partnerships

The Safety and Security Department of the Gloucester County Educational Campus works closely with local, county, state, and federal agencies, such as the Deptford Township Police and Fire Departments, the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office, the Prosecutor’s Office, County Probation and Parole, the Office of Emergency Management, the New Jersey State Attorney General, FBI, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Secret Service; Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), and local, state and federal level Homeland Security branches. GCEP Safety and Security's goal is to be broadly connected to these agencies in order to receive intelligence, training and long range forecasting of issues that ultimately impact the safety and security of our community.

Gloucester County Fire and Emergency Medical Services maintain professional relationships with numerous governmental agencies in order to regulate life safety, promote property protection, process operational issues, or to respond to the campus during emergencies. The Safety and Security Department maintains a professional relationship with the Gloucester County Fire departments, Emergency Medical Technicians and the County Fire Marshall’s office as it relates to preplanning for emergencies, emergency response or County Code compliance issues. The Fire Marshall’s office provides numerous informational tours and pre-inspection plans for all campus buildings in the pre-emergency phase, and participates in various exercises that enhance response capability. During an actual emergency, Executive Director of Campus Safety and Security or his designee acts as a liaison to assist any outside agency responding to the Incident Commander in their mitigation role.

The County Emergency Management Office interfaces with other county departments such as Water, Health, and the Social Services and other state and federal agencies such as NJEMA, Labor & Industry, EPA, DHS, and OSHA. Relationships are maintained with all response agencies that fall under the National Incident Management System (NIMS).

The Campus Safety and Security Department is proud to maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with the many safety, security and law enforcement agencies, which in turn, dramatically benefit the overall safety of the Gloucester County Educational Campus community.
