Hours

The Health Services Office is open Monday through Friday from

9:30 am-4:30 pm. A nurse is on duty to provide emergency and routine treatment for common illnesses and injuries, i.e., colds, headaches, sprains and lacerations. Students with more complex health problems are referred to other facilities for further medical attention.

Health education and disease prevention are additional activities of the Health Services office and may include blood pressure screening, weight management, along with a variety of year round health and wellness programs. Sport Physicals are scheduled though the Health Service Office with the College Physician and a Blood Mobile is available on Campus usually in the fall for those who wish to donate blood for the American Red Cross.

Services are available on a walk-in basis and there is no charge.

Immunization Policy

A valid record of immunization against measles, mumps and rubella is required by New Jersey State law (N.J.A.C. 9:2-14) of ALL FULL-TIME STUDENTS. This includes documentation of 2 measles, 1 mumps and 1 rubella.

Valid documents include a record completed and signed by a physician, an official school immunization record or a record from any public health department.

You are exempt from this requirement only if one or more of the following apply:

  1. If you are attending as a part-time student (less than 12 credits).
  2. You were born before January 1, 1957.
  3. You are enrolled strictly in telecourses and or on-line courses and will not be participating in classes on campus.
  4. You have a medical reason for not being immunized.
  5. You have a religious objection to immunization.
  6. You have satisfied this requirement in a previous semester; if this is the case, you MUST notify Health Services in the instructional center or call (856) 415-2208.

Nursing/Allied Health students are required to obtain additional medical innoculations/testing before entering their program.
