Gloucester County College Anime Convention

The Gloucester County Anime Con is the first convention at Gloucester County College of anime fans.  It is intended for sharing with other fans, enjoying a video game tournament, learning about Asian languages and culture, and to celebrate its popular culture.  Join fellow fans and warm up in January at Gloucester County College to celebrate anime, manga, and all facets of Asian pop culture.  Special guests joining us that day are The Pennsylvania Jedi, Princeton Kendo & Iaido Club, Aikido Agatsu Dojo, and Jamie McGonnigal, who is best known for his voice-acting roles on Viva Pinata!, WB’s Pokemon and Yu Gi Oh! and 4Kids/The Cartoon Network’s One Piece, F-Zero and Kirby. We can't wait to see you there!

Campus-wide Food Collection

The Student Government Association, Teachers 2000, Phi Theta Kappa, the Student Activities Office, and the Volunteer Center of Gloucester County are teaming up to stamp out hunger.  Please help fill the shelves of our local food bank by making a donation.  All donations will go to the Food Bank of South Jersey where it will be distributed to agencies serving the needy throughout South Jersey.  We will accept any canned good, cereal, peanut butter, tuna fish, instant mashed potatoes, pasta items, etc. HUNGER DOESN’T TAKE A HOLIDAY!

SNO Coat and Toy Drive

GCC’s Student Nursing Organization will be conducting a Coat and Toy Drive during the month of November.  It will benefit the Center for Family Services/Child Residential Program in Woodbury.  They will accept new or “slightly” worn winter coats and/or new or “slightly” used children’s toys, games and puzzles.  Bins will be placed in various locations on campus to accept your donations!  Help support this worthy endeavor!

Discounted AMC Movie Tickets

GCC’s Student Government Association is holding a fundraiser that will help you continue having fun during these tight economic times. SAVE MONEY at any AMC Theatre by buying your movie tickets here for only $8.00! These discounted tickets have no restrictions, and are available in the Student Activities Office in the College Center.

Yoga For Everyone
Date: Every Tuesday and Thursday
Time: Tuesdays 12:00pm - 1:00pm & Thursday 6:30 pm -7:30pm
Location: Mini-Center
Come out and enjoy the fun and relaxing exercise of Yoga.  Free classes are held in the Student Activities Mini-Center on Tuesdays from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm and on Thursdays from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm.  Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat if you have one.
