Student Services: Student Advisement: Developmental/Pre-College Level Course Work
Gloucester County College requires all newly admitted students to take the college placement test. All first time, full-time students are required to take the placement test after admission but prior to registering for classes. Part-time students may delay taking the placement test until reaching the 12th credit, but there are some limitations on the part-time student who elects to defer taking this exam.
- Courses included: Basic Composition I, II, and III; Preparation for College Reading I, II, and III; Introductory College Mathematics and Elementary Algebra; Introduction to College Studies; Interpersonal Psychology
- The College has a reading prerequisite for most courses; Students needing improvement in reading must complete any assigned developmental reading courses prior to taking most college level course. (See College catalog).
